Today was shopping day for us (oh joy!) and I thought we’d brighten it up by having a breakfast before we hit the shops. I’d seen mention on facebook (and the national press The Sun) of a cafe near Doncaster station called “Number One” and thought we’d give it a try!
Number One is on a back street roughly opposite Doncaster Railway station, so it well located if you are travelling by rail, it has plenty of metered parking available nearby so it is easy to access.
Considering they offer a coked breakfast for £1 the cafe was surprisingly empty – we were actually the only customers so had a choice of tables 🙂 we decided to go mad and have the £2 breakfast which consists of 2 sausage, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 hash brown, 2 toast, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms and beans, and we added a mug of tea for an extra 80p.
The cafe was clean and tidy and service was good, didn’t have to wait too long for our breakfasts, the breakfast was adequate but obviously with the meals being so cheap the food was of budget quality, all in all nothing to complain about with obviously very good value for cooked breakfast!
One small issue is that the toilets are up a long flight of stairs, so if you have mobility issues not a very convenient convenience 🙂
