So, last weekend saw us attending the Jaguar Drivers Club Pre Halloween Spooktacular at the British Motor Museum Gaydon. The event was a facebook organised event put together by the admins of the Jaguar Drivers Club X-Type Register and The JDC Modern S-Type Register with prizes donated by Tony Dalton of Anglian Remaps.
There were prizes for best dressed car, best costume (adult) and best costume (child).
After breakfast we set off to the British Motor Museum Gaydon.
This was the first “facebook organised” halloween event but I don’t think it will be the last as it proved extremely popular and great fun was had by all who came along.
Around 60 Jaguars attended the event, many of which were “dressed up” for the day. Gaydon is a great place to visit with lots to see and do (great onsite cafe too) and museum entry (£14 for the year) includes entry to the adjacent Jaguar Heritage Centre which houses a huge collection of Jaguar Cars and many concept models. These meets are a fantastic way to meet up wtih fellow Jaguar enthusiasts, meet up with good friends and really highlights The social aspect of driving
To end the day there was even cake kindly provided the JDC’s Simon Forster and his partner Lisa!
